Charity and Community Engagement Policy – Armed Forces Support
Policy Reference: HA-CCE-004
Effective Date: 10th May 2025
Review Date: 10th May 2026
Approved by: Managing Director

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to formalise Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd.’s commitment to charitable giving, community involvement, and reinvestment into causes supporting the UK Armed Forces community, specifically through its support of Project Nova. The policy also sets out how charitable donations will be handled in accordance with UK tax legislation and business governance practices.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Charitable contributions made by Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd.

  • Community and welfare initiatives connected to the Armed Forces Covenant

  • All employees and stakeholders involved in financial planning, tax compliance, and community engagement

3. Commitment to Charitable Giving

As part of our Armed Forces Covenant pledge, Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd. makes the following financial commitment:

Up to 20% of annual net profits will be donated to Project Nova, a charitable organisation supporting veterans who are in crisis, at risk of offending, or already in contact with the criminal justice system.

This donation is made in recognition of the need for early intervention, mental health support, and holistic welfare programmes tailored to those who have served.

4. Taxation and Charitable Donation Process

Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd. will ensure that all charitable donations are:

  • Made in line with UK tax law, under HMRC’s guidance for limited company donations to registered charities

  • Accounted for after all allowable business expenses, capital allowances, and deductions have been applied

  • Formally recorded in the company’s year-end accounts, supported by:

    • Proof of payment to the charitable body

    • A written record of the donation agreement

    • Confirmation that the recipient is a registered UK charity (in this case, Project Nova, via the RFEA partnership)

Policy Statement on Corporate Tax:
Once Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd.’s annual accounts are finalised and the total Corporation Tax liability has been calculated, the company will make a donation equivalent to this tax amount (or up to 20% of net profits, whichever is lower) to Project Nova. This donation will be made prior to tax settlement, ensuring it qualifies as a tax-deductible expense under HMRC rules (CTA 2009, Part 6, Chapter 2 – Gifts to Charity).

Where tax relief applies, the company will submit the appropriate entries within the CT600 Corporation Tax Return and maintain all required documentation for audit purposes.

5. Community Engagement

In addition to financial contributions, Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd. actively contributes to community development through:

  • Hosting free observational placements for service leavers and reservists exploring the aesthetics and wellness sectors

  • Participating in military appreciation campaigns, remembrance events, and local Armed Forces Day activities

  • Encouraging staff to take part in fundraising or awareness events for veterans' charities, including SSAFA, Combat Stress, and The Royal British Legion

  • Displaying visible support for the Armed Forces community in our clinic and online channels, including our designation as a Safe Space for Service Personnel

6. Review and Oversight

  • The Managing Director (also the designated Armed Forces Champion) will oversee all charitable activity and financial donations.

  • This policy will be reviewed annually during year-end accounts preparation and financial planning to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

  • All donations will be disclosed transparently in annual reports and/or on the company’s website.

7. Transparency and Public Accountability

Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd. believes in transparency and responsible giving. A summary of donations made under this policy, and the impact achieved via Project Nova or other initiatives, may be shared publicly through:

  • Company newsletters

  • Website announcements

  • Social media updates aligned with Armed Forces Covenant awareness campaigns
