Training and Development Policy for Armed Forces Personnel

1. Purpose

This policy outlines Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd.’s commitment to providing accessible, relevant, and cost-effective training and observational learning opportunities for serving and former members of the UK Armed Forces. We recognise the high standard of clinical and operational training within the Armed Forces, and aim to support those transitioning into or exploring the aesthetics industry.

This policy specifically supports personnel from the Army Medical Services, including but not limited to Combat Medical Technicians, Nurses, and other allied healthcare professionals.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Serving Regular or Reserve members of the UK Armed Forces

  • Veterans and service leavers

  • Cadet Force Adult Volunteers within healthcare roles

The policy applies to all internal training, mentorship, and observational opportunities offered by Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd.

3. Key Commitments

We are committed to:

  • Providing bespoke clinical aesthetics training to Armed Forces personnel, with recognition of their existing healthcare competencies.

  • Offering a 30% discount on all structured training programmes to current or former Armed Forces personnel.

  • Allowing free in-house observational placements to those exploring a transition into aesthetics, subject to availability and clinical scheduling.

  • Promoting inclusivity and structured entry points for service leavers into the regulated aesthetics environment.

4. Observational Learning Opportunities

We provide complimentary observational shadowing sessions to Armed Forces personnel interested in the clinical aesthetics sector.

Conditions:

  • Observers must be current or former Armed Forces members, ideally with a medical services background.

  • Observational days are subject to availability and patient consent.

  • Observers must sign a confidentiality agreement and follow all clinic policies.

5. Insurance Requirements

For all hands-on training (including injectable procedures), participants must:

  • Hold appropriate medical registration, with the GMC, GDC, HCPC, NMC.
  • Hold appropriate professional indemnity insurance valid in the UK for aesthetic practice.

  • We recommend Insync Insurance as a trusted provider of aesthetics and healthcare liability cover.

  • Proof of insurance must be provided before any practical training or supervised treatment begins.

6. Recognition of Military Qualifications

We recognise clinical training delivered by the Army Medical Services and equivalent branches of the Armed Forces. Course entry requirements will be assessed flexibly in light of prior military healthcare experience, particularly for:

  • Doctors (GMC)
  • Dentists (GDC)
  • Registered Nurses (NMC)

  • Paramedics (HCPC)

  • Combat Medical Technicians with Level 4+ qualifications

7. Continued Professional Development (CPD)

We commit to:

  • Offering CPD-accredited courses where applicable.

  • Providing post-course support via mentoring and structured follow-up (including guidance on product sourcing, patient consent, and clinical governance).

  • Supporting veterans to transition into self-employment or aesthetic practice roles through our mentoring network.

8. Governance and Review

  • The Managing Director will oversee all Armed Forces training placements.

  • All training policies and procedures will be reviewed annually, or sooner if legislative or professional changes occur.

  • Feedback from participants will inform continuous improvement and potential development of tailored AMS packages.
