Review Date: 10th May 2026
Approved by: Managing Director

1. Purpose

This policy outlines Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd.’s commitment to supporting members of the Reserve Forces employed or contracted by the business. It affirms our obligations under the Armed Forces Covenant, follows guidance issued by SaBRE, and reflects best practice for supporting reservists in both routine training and mobilisation for operations.

We recognise the unique contribution that reservists make to national security and the clinical and leadership skills they bring to the civilian workforce.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Any freelance, part-time, or contracted staff affiliated with Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd. who are active members of the Royal Naval Reserve, Army Reserve, Royal Air Force Reserve, or Royal Marines Reserve

  • Management and administrative staff responsible for HR or operational planning

  • Business continuity planning where mobilisation or short-notice call-up occurs

3. Principles of Support

  • We are committed to being an Armed Forces–friendly organisation and will support all staff and contractors who serve as reservists.

  • No reservist shall suffer disadvantage in recruitment, employment, or opportunity due to their Reserve Forces obligations.

  • Reservist status will be treated with strict confidentiality and respect.

  • We will liaise with SaBRE and MOD agencies as needed to ensure continuity and compliance.

4. Training Leave Allowance for Freelance Contractors

Recognising the unique nature of freelance engagement in aesthetics and clinical delivery:

  • Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd. will incorporate a non-financial provision of 10 unpaid working days per calendar yearinto its freelance contractor agreements, specifically to allow for:

    • Annual training camps

    • Short-term exercises

    • Specialist military skills or medical courses required by the reservist’s unit

  • This will be clearly outlined in all freelance contracts or service agreements with reservist staff, under a designated Reservist Support Clause.

  • Contractors must provide reasonable notice and, where appropriate, supporting documentation from their unit or commanding officer confirming the dates of training.

5. Mobilisation and Operational Deployment

In the event that a reservist is mobilised for full-time service under the Reserve Forces Act 1996, Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd. will:

  • Grant an immediate release from their contracted duties without penalty or breach of agreement

  • Suspend their contract without termination, allowing for re-engagement on their return to civilian duties, subject to mutual agreement and operational needs

  • Maintain contact with the reservist during deployment, where appropriate

  • Work in accordance with guidance from the MOD Employer Support Team and ensure correct forms are processed (e.g., MOD Form 93, Statement of Employer Support)

On return from mobilisation:

  • The business will engage with the reservist to determine a re-integration plan, including a review of skills gained during deployment and any transitional support required

  • Reservists will not be disadvantaged due to loss of professional opportunity during their service period

6. Employer Engagement and Recognition

  • Haus Of Ästhetik Ltd. will remain engaged with the MOD Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) and the Defence Relationship Management (DRM) team

  • We will publicly display our support for reservists and ensure this policy is available on request

  • We commit to annual review and implementation of any updated SaBRE guidance or statutory requirements

7. Review and Policy Governance

This policy will be:

  • Reviewed annually as part of our Armed Forces Covenant compliance programme

  • Updated immediately if MOD, HMRC, or contractual guidance related to reservists changes

  • Managed by the Managing Director, acting as Armed Forces Champion, who will liaise directly with reservist staff and the MOD if mobilisation occurs
