A. Safe Handling & Disposal

• ☑ Residual drug waste must be disposed of in sharps bins if in a syringe
• ☑ Medication vials must be opened and emptied into pharmaceutical waste before disposal
B. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required

• ☑ Eye protection if handling large volumes of liquid medication
C. Spill & Incident Management
• Drug Waste Spill Procedure:
• ☑ Wear gloves and absorb liquid with a spill kit

D. Waste Disposal & Storage
